What’s Different About Group Fitness at LWL Studios?

You’ve been told you can’t make significant progress with strength or muscle building through group training. Whoever told you that was wrong.

The standard, run of the mill group fitness classes that big gyms offer usually look like this:

❌ Large groups of people

❌ High intensity cardio with some weights thrown in

❌ New workouts all the time to keep things “fun”

❌ Not conducive to coaching or individualized attention

If you like these types of classes, it’s all good.

Small group training at LWL Studios is much different.

You’ll do the same workouts for 4 weeks to give you enough time to both learn the movements and progress with them. This repetition over time is how you make progress and see results!

We encourage you to join at any time, regardless of where that group is within their 4-week progression. You’ll be welcomed with open arms because that’s how we roll here.

  • Either select the coach you wish to work with or view our full calendar by selecting “any available”

  • Sign up for as many classes as you wish

  • If you want to purchase a package and select the specific times at a later date, you do so here.

  • If a desired class is full, you can add your name to our waitlist calendar for that session.

    • If a spot becomes available, we will reach out to the waitlist group and offer the slot on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • To book unlimited small group classes each month, purchase one of our Unlimited options.

How to Create an Account

We highly recommend creating an account so that when you book appointments, they will be saved to your profile. That way, you can see your past and upcoming sessions.

If you book sessions without being signed in, you will not see them in your profile (only in your confirmation emails).

To create an account:

  • Go to any of our embedded scheduler modules

  • Click on “Sign Up” in the top right hand corner

  • Enter in your email, password, and agree to the terms of service

BookINg Sessions

There are two main ways to book your appointments once you have purchased a subscription or package.

A reminder that you will need to be signed into your account if you wish to save and manage appointments to your profile.

  1. Easiest: Use the link in your confirmation email. It will take you right to the booking page and auto-fill known information such as your name and email.

  2. Sign into your profile by visiting any of our booking modules on the training pages or using this link. Once signed in, you can use any booking module or, in your profile, you can select “Appointments” and then “Book a New Appointment”. Once you select an appointment, you’ll need to fill out each required field in the checkout process and paste in your package/subscription code (if applicable). You can view your active codes at any time in your profile.

  3. If your desired class is full, you can add your name to our waitlist calendar. You will be notified if a slot becomes available.

To book an appointment, you’d simply click on “schedule” and go through the check out process.

You can log into your profile using any booking module and clicking “Login” in the top right corner. Once logged in, you’ll be able to see upcoming and past appointments that were booked with this profile and manage any existing codes.

If you wanted to book appointments at a later date, you can grab your package or subscription code in the “Manage codes” folder!

Ladies Who Lift Studios Coaching Staff

  • Rae Reichlin created Ladies who Lift after watching many of her female clients have the physical and mental breakthroughs they never thought possible through learning to lift properly and with confidence.

    Having experienced it herself, Rae understands the fear, apprehension, and misinformation, that can sometimes come along with lifting and getting stronger, and wanted to create a space and environment where women felt comfortable to come together to learn and perfect this method of training.

    Ladies who Lift promotes empowerment through pushing one's own boundaries, and being there for others who are trying to do the same. By educating women about each of their bodies needs and impressive capabilities Ladies who Lift aims to leave clients ready to lead happy, healthy, connected lives.

  • Brittany is an ACE Fitness Certified Personal Trainer and additionally holds a specialty Certification in Pre/Post Natal Training. She has experience as a group fitness coach and trained 1:1 both in-person and online.

FAQs

  • If you need to reschedule or cancel, you must do so no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled session in order for that session to remain usable in the future.

    For Unlimited and Unlimited+ Members Only:

    Late Cancel: If you email our team within 24 hours of your appointment, you’ll incur a $10 late cancellation fee.

    No Show Fee: If you don’t show up for a session that you are scheduled for, you will be charged a $20 no show fee without exceptions.

    Please note that late cancellations and no shows for individual appointments and class packs will result in a loss of the appointment.

  • If the class you wanted is currently full, you can sign up on our waitlist calendar. Add your name to the same timeslot and if an opening becomes available, we will email the full waitlist group. The opening will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Small group training and 1:1 training are both expertly designed and structured strength training modalities. In both types, you receive dedicated attention from the coach.

    In small group training, naturally, you’re among a few other people, so you won’t receive 100% of the coach’s time and attention at every moment. Small group training is also slightly faster paced, whereas 1:1 training is paced to each individual. If this is what you’re looking for, check out our 1:1 training options.

  • You can. However, we recommend you start with 1:1 personal training so you can get more comfortable and learn the ropes a bit before moving into a group setting.

  • Absolutely. You can either use your own class package, sign up your friend(s) using one of your class package sessions, or have your friend(s) purchase a drop-in class pass.

  • Yes. We’re serious about our members receiving as much of a personal training experience as possible. This isn’t the typical group class at a big box gym. This is real strength training that gets our members real results.

  • For sure. A huge benefit to our small group size is that you’ll receive individualized coaching, so even if you’re brand new, you’ll be taken care of.

  • You have 3 months from the date of purchase to use the sessions in your package.

  • All packages are final sale. You need to cancel your membership 30 days before the next billing date to avoid further charges.

  • LWL Studios serves and supports individuals who are female-identifying and non-binary.

  • We are located at 4747 N Ashland Ave. in Chicago. There is street parking available on both Ashland and Lawrence. This area can get busy, so we highly recommend you arrive early in case you need to walk.
